Aechmea calyculata - Yellow Cone Bromeliad and Creature Of The Night = BOO!

 I have had this for several years and nursed it from a severely stunted specimen
that was gifted to me from a dear friend. Has since recovered and yet rarely blooms
on an annual basis. I think it is in the clear now what with two inflorescence's (blooms).

This was taken this afternoon and discovered while painting one two remaining patches
of stucco needing it's finish coat.

This was taken this late evening and as you can see with a creature of the night, which
didn't reveal it's self until I viewed it on my computer.
