Shampoo Ginger - Zingiber zerumbet
Hawaiians had several uses for `Awapuhi. The sap that is
easily squeezed from the inflorescence was used as a body soap and shampoo and with a pleasant fragrance also.
It's has been wet summer so far, hence the rare appearance of the so called cone.
