Tomato Vine/Tree

After some pruning out the dead, dying and growth ravaged by time and fungus. This tomato

gets some new stakes to bolster the wobbly infrastructure. A blast of of my favorite orchid

food, I know, don't try telling the tomato that it's not and orchid and see what happens...hehe.

While thinking what else I can I throw at this to prolong it's illustrious potted life thus far.

Potted Beauty

After giving this potted White Orchid tree a re-imaging, won't go into detail, as not

to incriminate myself...hehe.  After relocating to this new spot, this plant is putting out

some vibes and as you will see in the photo that the garden angels has crowned this

with a crown of what appears to be some balled moss still attached to a dead Bald Cypress

twig. Not to take a way from the moment.

Today's Third & Second Plant Rescue

Reading the photo left to right, Bald Cypress seedling rescue #3 gets transferred from one pot

to another. It's just that the other pot was occupied and this seedling would dominate said  pot

in a matter of years, bedside's I have plans.

Bald Cypress seedling rescue #2 gets transferred from my driveway's grassy median, you know

the type, between two concrete ribbons. What can I say, old construction, old house, that will be

celebrating it's Centennial in six years. I'm surprised to even have had spotted this little munchkin.

This being our dry season and where most landscaping chores get a respite, otherwise this seeddling

would have gotten weed whacked down. I also have similar plans for this one also.

If you note in the background of the picture above you will see my largest Bald Cypress on my

property, which I planted over twenty-five years ago. Although not from a seedling it was a well

established potted specimen. One of nine that I had planted over the years and hopefully these two

new rescue seedlings will be given the same opportunity to thrive but, also with a twist.

I don't want to get a head of myself and will just leave it to ....time will tell.

Today's First Plant Rescue

This Euphorbia is a bit scorched and not looking it's best. Having been thrown

to the curb, well near the curb. Harsh conditions was not it's favorite place. So, I

salvaged what I could and let the cut ends dry out, scale some over, along with a

sincere apology and a let's start a new with a for this newly potted

location.

Today's Two

 urban wild life interventions.

First one was a fledgling Carolina Wren that I witnessed a lay about stray cat toying

around with and managed to squirt said cat with some water. With gloved hands I

scooped up this tiny wonder and moved it to some heavy growth and it just scooted

away in silence. I'm thinking and hoping that I bought this new bird some time.

Second one was a frog and I don't think it was our typical Gray Tree frog but a ,

get this, a pooper frog. My unofficial designation for a frog that one usually sees around

one of the large lakes near by, that well...make quite the mess, if you get my drift. While

pulling up my yard trash can to put at the curb and low and behold what was on the side

of the can and has the audacity to jump on my arm. A quick catch if you ever seen one

and it always help to have a Talenti container close by so one can make use to escort said

frog to greener pastures

that just aren't

mine.

Where humans and creatures can still reside and hopefully still have a win win out come.

Welcome To The Neighborhood

 watering  hole.

This owl faced stray is most familiar with this watering hole and isn't quick to dart away.

Let There Be Blooms

This potted white Orchid Tree is doing it's magic...finally.

A 'time will tell' success and yes let's

count those blooms before they hatch.

Where There Is

constant moisture and a seed, well guess what?

When I say constant moisture, we are talking human intervention kind of moisture.

Exhibit 'A' - See that seedling making it's way up in the world.

Oops...wasn't suppose to see that. Yeah, I got a little heavy handed with the pruners.

I've been wanting to cut this Paw Paw stick back for several years now and well

another, time will tell to see if it will  demonstration is about to begin to whether it

can bounce back or not.

Exhibit 'B' - Wonders of wonder, this seedling has the same unintended human intervention

and timing. The squirrels couldn't possibly eat every Bald Cypress seed which they

feast on late Florida winter. Add some water and presto.

All I need is one viable seedling to meet my next idea to bring to fruition that is to have a duel

among two trees and observe how they grow and compete for what limited sunshine and space

that might still exist.  The Bald Cypress should have the upper hand and this will bring two

garden projects into the future of...only....time...will...tell. *que the music folks*
