First Meal Dippers

By the dawn's early light.

As much fun it is to eat Hummus with your fingers there are other modes that bodes just as well.

Cacao Tree Looking A Bit Peaked

Cacao Tree with Vanilla Bean Orchid at it's base must be really enjoying our
ninety plus humidity these past few days.

The coppery new leaf only adds to it's beauty and exotica.

Gave this the last of the collected rain water and added some Epsom salts as my
on going garden experiment.

My Compari tomato is on it's second flush and have been giving it a dose of
salts as well.

First Blooms

Record heights for this red hibiscus and the growing
season is still on going. I keep these slim and trim
with some selective trimming.

First bloom of the season and this was the first thing I saw this morning.

These look like Wizard of Oz fake.

Taming The Jungles That Years And A Wet season Hath Brought

 Looking good after some
major trimming.

How much?, you ask!  Two cans here and two cans there.

The criss cross growth of this hibiscus provides some shelter for birds from our
neighbor's horde of predatory cats. A giant bird cage, in a good way.

Nice perspective.

A reminder that I still have some more piles to pick up.

yESterDAY aNd TOdaY - tHE mASteRvISa Mystery Continues

Last patch of stucco that was painted with a finish satin coat.

First meal, Tuna fish salad w/Avocado.

Neighbor phones in regards to her porch railing. I go to assist and assess
the situation and also notify her friend about this bogus install. She
relays to me this evening while two Bright House vans were on call at
my neighbors house, that the railing install was probably her brother,
with good intentions I would hope.

Called my credit union to what appears to be an overcharge I discovered
while exploring the credit union's web revamp. I was advised to first make
an attempt to resolve the overcharge with the merchant.

I bring this overcharge information to the merchants attention with
all the particulars and waiting for a return call.

More I dig and ask questions and this takes three credit union associates
before I discover a missing verification time stamp. This verification I find
out activates at the time your card gets swiped at the time you make your
purchase. Along with a record time stamp when this transaction gets sent
to my credit union, which in this case was at four in the morning.

Another item in my discovery yesterday that the date shown on my statement
was not the transaction date but the process date actual day this purchase.
Because there was no swipe by me to initiate the verification is a big red
flag in my favor for a resolution. If this can't be resolved by me and the
merchant. It will go to the credit union and let them resolve this situation.

At this point I am suspending any conclusions until I hear from the merchant.

What should have been the typical purchase of $7.45 turned into an alleged
purchase of $67.56.

Our Target cashiers are still clueless and their card readers
need to take a page from Home Depot on how best to use
these new chip credit/debit cards.

Merchant called that they will refund me for the entire amount charge. This
was not an overcharge. This was an issue of duplicate number that existed
between Visa and MasterCard, one expired and the other (mine) still valid.

So the mystery continues

Cacao'd Eggs

Who knew.

Eperimental Kitchen - This Is My Halloween, Sleep Interupted Results

Two poached eggs nesting in
some Chicken and Wild Rice.
Yellow Mustard, Cacao, Mushrooms,
Curry and Lime Juice.

How many birds can you see in
these unintentional splashes of
Yellow Mustard?

The day starts off with a a couple of sips of my chilled dark brew of coffee from last night.
This is coming from a non coffee drinker and it tastes good. I'm sacrificing normal eight
hour sleep with a visit to our Saturday morning farmers market. I'm glad I made the early
morning sleep sacrifice and rewarded with some home brewed Ginger Kombucha and a
small bunch of beets and two welcomed greetings from two fellow Yogi's. One spotted
at the market and the other was walking his dog on my way home.

Painted two patches of house stucco and then went back to capture the rest of the sleep
that I feel entitled to and in the process of foregoing two meals but not without jugging
down some vegetable juice so I don't eat my bed sheets while dreaming of the feast that
I may conjure from some exotic venture.
