Scene of the Crime - Suspect, Racoon

Three times now I've found the bottle of
Fish Emulsion opened and on it's side.

First time found, there was plenty more
in the bottle and it had spilled out on to
the concrete and left behind were some
very incriminating evidence Foot prints
from a Racoon.

Spotted this today, Friday. A failed attempt or perhaps the same scoundrel having a moment
of relapse of last time being of no interest, nothing tasty. Notice the cap is at the point of
coming off. The critter could of gave up or perhaps startled and took off. There is only one
more application left before I can discard the bottle and the creature will have to find another
preoccupation.

Lizard Surfing On Board

I did not notice this guy on my windshield until I was well onto the main road. You can tell
that he must of been a surfer dude in another life. By the time I thought of turning off to chase
it off he went airborne on me, off to the left. No doubt to safety as safety can be for these little
guys.

Wasps, They're Everywhere or Maybe It's a Hornet

Bleeding Heart Second Bloom

Blooming again, which is typical
of this specimen. This is a new
location too, which makes it a
good sign that it is doing well
also.

I'm afraid that it will have to
moved due to my house painting.

A picture taken is picture proof.

Painting With Wasps

On the last leg of painting the stucco portion of the house. Have to make
a point not to be too distracted by some stucco repair too.

This morning I notice some huge wasps that I disturbed when I moved
the ladder that I'm using. I've been around wasps many years now, being
an avid gardener. I have a respect and awareness that keeps us both in
existence.

Years ago I got stung three times by wasps in the same season. Needless
to say that my bodies resistance to them was losing. My lymph nodes
under my arms started to talk to me. So my next strategy was not to
get stung again anytime soon. No problem there, knowing what I know
now.

Did not resort to pesticides, I just made an effort to not disturb known
hangouts of wasps with out using a broom first. If I find them I just
knock down their nest and wait some time before doing what I need
to do. This is what works for me and not a suggestion to try this your
self.

Going on nearly ten years without a sting by a wasp that is. There are
plenty of non insects that will bite you in the garden.

Cassia alata - Senna - Always the Host

I was never a fan of Butterflies because
what some people don't make the connection
to it's larval state, the caterpillar and
well, caterpillars have to eat to.

These caterpillars brings us the Cloudy
Sulfur butterfly. These guys will run out
of the few blooms that are left and will have
to resort on munching on it's green leaves.
The cool thing is that theses caterpillars will
then turn green. A variation of the you are
what you eat.

We, like all creatures have to eat to. So this is the last of the Eggplant. Unlike the creatures
above, I've grown tired of said Eggplant. So what do I do is through something in that will
bring it a new stimulation to the taste buds and that being some green olives.

Muntingia calabura L. (Muntingiacea) - The Jamaican Strawberry Tree

This morning attended with a friend the city's first fall plant sale from
the city's nursery, powered by volunteers. Interesting collection, but not
much caught my discerning eye and yet a new plant was still in my future.

I went to our downtown curb market and found this little gem.
