There Once, Was A Tall Cactus

and getting too tall for it's britches.

What is left of that once tall cactus is now but an after thought and about

six feet taller than what you see now.

Yes there was blunt trauma and yet not a squeak.

No worries, you will be placed back with your family and just a bit shorter as you always dreamed.

Another minor surgery was required and fast healing allowed for a quick installation.

                   While  following all ICU protocols.

Who knew that these Yoga blankets would come in handy.

That hole that I dug for this cutting was only about five inches in diameter and precisely

eighteen inches deep, because I couldn't go any deeper due to a pipe fitting that was discovered.

A pipe fitting to what, you ask? And yes I still planted the cactus at this very spot. What better

way to mark this latest find.

Well this nearly one hundred year house didn't have city sewer so there would have been

a drain field of some sorts for the waste water disbursement, a long time neighbor informed me.

I  will have to add this to my growing list of this old house's list of historic finds.
