First Time Witness

Recent sightings of this hedge that is putting on a spectacular display of WOW.

As many times that I have past plantings like this, I've never knew them to change colors like if

it was some type of Pepper corns.      Which they are not, not , not.      So don't get any ideas.

This This...

Orchid bloom. Words don't always come forth as this spray of flowers that never fail to grace

my collection.

Purity and Refinement

Imagine if we had a Moon in the sky that looked like this Gardenia and if it were a reality, would

we still be amazed or blase about it, like some might be with our own moon.

This Winter bloomer never ceases to amaze me.    Bloom on, bloom on.

Ever Wonder If You Were Being Watched Over

Just ask these two Angels. That's two ,the third one is still in training.

It's A Jungle Out There

and these two froglets know it.   Don't ask me to point them out to you. They need to blend in

if you know what I mean.  They don't want to be 'Garden Gummies' if you get my drift.

First Recipients of a Winter Detailing

Just a headsup, I will be experimenting with this writing with using their botanical Latin names

to see if I can learn their designated botanical nom de plumes...hehe. Along with a generic descriptor

in what ever these things are called '    '.    Yeah , I know, right.

I also got finished with detailing my neighbor's backyard garden. So was inspired and psyched

and was buzzing with the same vibe and let loose on my garden to see what transpires

As we gardeners know, there is always something that could be done in our garden.

This Dietes vegeta, 'Iris' blooms several times during the year and looks great when

the dead stuff is removed. Most specimens that lack that regular maintenance, well, look it

and have many people that are amazed that it doesn't look like theirs. Well hello, most of

gardening requires the maintenance, whether it's weeding, thinning, pruning and removing

the dead stuff.      These Irises make great subjects for a Moon garden.

Take in the different textures of green in the above picture.

Neoregelia spectabilis 'Bromeliad' is loooooooooking really fine.
Profile please.  (Blogger's spartan formatting is making it's self known)
Dark and mysterious side prevails.

One of many advantages of detailing a garden is you give it the eye that detailing requires

and you spot things that you might not see when you casually peruse the garden. The

Stromanthe sanguinea 'Ginger' had a side shoot that was jamming my detail eye, if you

will. So the only solution would be to remove the offending interloper that causes your

eye to pause and can't seem to move on until this minor discrepancy is resolved. In kicks

the critical thinking and resolving the issues. Where this negative is now a challenge that

will be turned into a positive to beautiful specimen that will once again shine, shine, shine.

Let it shine baby!

It looks it has always been there and know one will ever know the difference.

I like to give my transplants a daily watering for two weeks, then they are on their own.  Well  not

really, most of my transplant waterings can last a longer than that, depending on how well I sighted

this specimen, the specimen itself and multiple factors and the time of year. Again, this is but another

page in the joys of gardening whether you like it or not. I just happen to

enjoy the constant gardening that goes

hand in hand with, well

gardening.

The Last of the Season Fav

These Summer Sandwich tomatoes, this Winter were great and the acid in them bit my tongue.

I still have to do some internet crawling to find out what factors, whether external or not governs

a tomato's acid zip.

First Grade Inspiration

How many of you have had the grade school opportunity start some props from store bought

veggies? Such as carrots and potatoes?

This Baby Bok Choy has grown into teenager, as shown in this picture.

And I were to post a picture of it today, weeks later, it now looks like an adult bok choy.

Something has already tasted this and it must of been good, because a few leaves have been

nearly munched clean away.

Also , buried under the top soil is a favorite tomato of mind as an experiment. I just sliced

a rather over ripe in two and buried them open side down and then covered them. Due to the

cooler temps during our almost Winter season, it took a bit more than just a few days to

sprout.

Time will tell ...took it's time to reveal two patches of sprouted seeds...yeah, yeah!

Coontie Cycad's New Beginings

These seeds are a bit of a fuss. Soaking that was advised did very little in getting these seeds

naked. I did use rubber gloves to avoid any possibility in having a reaction in handling these

obnoxious fruits.

Hopefully they will be fruitful in their producing some new Coonties which could take months.

All together now ....          Time     will     tell.

New Dragons Abound

Three new ones at the High Tower the mother of all of my Crape Myrtles.

Side yard Dragons, two faces, front and back. The second picture faces my window ...yeah!

Two peeping Dragons. I will have to check tomorrow to see if I placed one on the other side

to make it three.

Bigger Palm of the two gets three dragons , oops, that makes four Dragons for the bigger

palm. How fitting.

Latest Potted Prop

This cactus prop has Bonsai written all over it's spiny face. Pumice rock from my neighbor's

garden after detailing it yesterday. This prop sat for about four days to scab over and when I

saw sitting there pretty, I jumped to the next step in potting it up and now it looks even prettier,

if that was even possible.         Gotta love them props.
