Something New

Look closely now. Those green orbs are smaller than a pin head. Those elongated brown parts

are the seed themselves to a Tillandsia that I gathered seed from. The tiny seeds had damsel like

parachutes to allow them to take to the wind. I managed to grab a few before that event were to

happen and now, new life forms. These are kept under a clear cover and a lot of algae has taken

hold. I have the idea to infuse some developed orchid seeds to this mix hoping that this primordial

like ooze  might  host some of the beneficial bacteria that my orchid seed would need to get them

into their next stage of life.

The next question would be, when do you harvest these said orchid seeds.

                                                                          Exhibit 'A'

Finally

this near blood red Amyrillis that I started from seed about seven or eight years ago is coming to

fruition.  There could be a few yet seen mixes yet to show. This is what you get when you grow

some plants from seed, one of many joys of gardening.

My My Tomato Vine Is Doin' Just Fine

is crackin it, with another batch of delicious tomatoes. Once they ripen up of course.

This Summer Sandwich variety has proven it's self through our year here in Florida and

pretty much been consistent. Throwing all the organic fertilizer at it and buckets of rain water,

not to mention some trimming.

Now lets see how much more I can push this baby.

...This Elderberry

First set of blooms emerging from a transplanted Elderberry volunteer in my neighbor's front

yard late summer I think of last year. What was barely two feet tall now close to twelve feet.

Yes they are a bit weedy , not to mention poisonous, and they run their shoots underground.

Some careful pruning below and above ground makes it into a rather stately beauty, if you

ask me.

My intent when I planted this was not so much for the berries but with the intention to making

some Elderberry Flower flavoring. Whether that happens is an all together another effort, which

only time will tell.

So yes, on the tail of establishing my Jackfruit Tree that has two feet over this Elderberry and

started from seed, mind you. This bud reveal on this Elderberry is definitely this Spring's highlight

for this constant gardener.

This Was Almost

named this Shaving Brush Tree the highlight of this Spring's highlight of the season.

Mainly due to it not blooming last year and then moved into a sunnier spot. Sun exposure

is at a premium in this Florida yard.  It took many years to get to this point not thinking

that I had more sun, but that thought never lasts long when it's plus nineties degrees.

Until there was this...

Nature At It's Best

My next door neighbor took this shot of one of several Barred Owls in our  urban neighborhood.

Shortly after sun down and just scoping out the surrounds, enough time for my neighbor to

catch about four pictures before it takes flight.

These owls will call out during day or night along with an answer if they are lucky.

Add to this wild menagerie, Raccoons, Opossums, Fox and Coyote, of the four legged variety.

Snapshot Of My Indoor Props-Station

Tads get their change of water.    A snip of Parsley Arailia gives the Arailia's a new profile.

While another Arailia will have to get a remix of soil so it can thrive and taking the lids off

of my thriving cuttings to let them dry out and get a little acclimated to the drier air.

All in all, just another indoor gardening day.    While the outdoors goes into Spring mode.

Charisma Indeed

This variety of Amaryllis is showing it's color loud and clear.

A Spray Of Pink

delicate spray of begonia to conclude this display of this spectacle of Winter/Spring

happenings.

Peekaboo

The glowing amber of a florescence is not easily captured, but beware, this bromeliad has

more barbs than a rose.

This Vanda Orchid

buds may look yellow, but not for long. One of several orchids getting ready to

put a Winter/Spring show of color.

Hmmmmm

This tri-colored jasmine has yet to bloom as a ground cover but when it took to the

tree is does not hesitate to fill the air with it's fragrant blooms that dangle in this

evening's glow of a setting sun.

Second Wind

for these Camellias.

Flower Buds Or

 just some more leaves.

This white orchid tree is still keeping it a secret.

An Evening Garden Beacon

This fine filamented white powder puff with out it's foliage surely caught my eye.

Nothing Screams

'Look at Me' than a blast of hot pink Azaleas.

Fine Tuned This Crescent

 of maroon colored bromeliads.

First Amaryllis To Bloom

Cuttings Are Now Planted

Along with some Spaths and Begonia for some added texture and other than green color for foliage.

One other plant to go into the ground.

Just when you think you have everything in the ground as planned you discover two more

cuttings of begonias that are also ready. Well, there's always tomorrow.

Wait, Is White A Color?

But of course, white is a color void of color.

Sometimes It's The Small Stuff

These cuttings pushing out a purple bloom tells me it's time to put them in

the ground and take some more pictures.

Along with these sunset colored cactus blooms that inspired to me to take some more of

our Florida Spring blooming bonanza.

Garden Crew of

Ibis always lending a beak or two.

Ok, I admit that I gave them a two pieces of bread.
