Paint and Caulk, Paint and Caulk...Oh What Fun it is to Paint and Caulk All Day

Started to paint the front of the house which has the least amount of painted surfaces.
That's me, get the bulk of the work down up front so the finish is more bearable. Not
that I am close to finishing and no I didn't paint all day, but post title had to catch
and grab my audience. Even if it's an audience of one.
Just like the Media does when there is a hurricane or freezing cold weather. What
ever it takes to boost ratings. No wonder I cut cable and ditched the tv fifteen years
ago.  With the internet I have the choice when and what and thank goodness for Ad
Block.

Look What Hurricace Joaquin Left Behind - I thought I would frame it

Two For Three

I know what your thinking, two for three is not as good as three for two.

I'm replacing two seedlings for the three that didn't do well. This time instead
of being planted together in one pot they will have their separate quarters.

Texas Ebony being transplanted from it's watery environment to soil and with
all it's roots intact. Tall pot to accommodate a long tap root.

Where as this one's root got nicked in the gathering phase and what was intact
had rotted so it was severed only a few days ago. Perhaps still has phantom tap
root syndrome.  It looks non the worse from losing half of it's tap root. If only
plants could talk. So this one gets a shallow pot, not that I had another choice.

Varigated Ginger Blooming First Time

With said cone rules out a Shell
Ginger variety.

                                                    Yellow bloom emerging from cone.

Won't be able to give this a positive identification until it blooms and I have two
possibilities too.

Too Early, Too Late or Just Wanted to Be Seen - Indica azalea - Azalea

Indica azalea 'Formosa' - Azalea

To have a handful of theses errant
blooms is not unusual this time of year.
I would like to know what causes this plant
to bloom way outside it's normal time to
bloom. For those not familiar with the
time of year it normally blooms, it should
be Spring and not it's polar opposite, Fall.

Spent nearly five hours today painting the stucco on my house.
Took advantage of some breezy, dry weather, I'm sure compliments
to Hurricane Joaquin due east of us way out there in the middles of
the Atlantic ocean.
