From Prop Table To Ground - Big Leaf Begonia

This big specimen was started from a cane this past Spring.
So in less than six months this went from cutting to ground.
Behind this there's another begonia cutting prop that got in to
ground in less than two months.

What A Compfy Gardener's Throne This Would Make

Open Sesame - Cacao Is Bloomin' - Day Eight?

Although short lived  and what appears to be not only the first bloom but the one
and only bloom.

All of it's reproductive parts looks as complicated as the actual process of making
cacao.

This makes me want to delve in and do some research to just what it is that I am
looking at and distinguish from what's what. The first picture has some type of
fluid sacs for starters.

Truly a monumental event in this constant gardener's gardening life.

Ta Da! -- Cacao Is Bloomin'

This was taken in July 2015, already had it for a month.

To this, November 2019.

Brought this indoors with anticipating temperatures below sixty degrees.
While inspecting for good health and what do I spy?

A single bloom, soon to be two as of yesterday.  Just now looking at this pic
at a closer scrutiny and I see two more emerging off of this stem just left and
up a it.

Now the next big step is will be to see just how viable these blossoms are and
may require manually pollinating, no pressure.
